How BIM Holoview Works

BIM Holoview overlays your BIM models directly onto the physical job site through a standard AR/MR headset. Spatial alignment is achieved entirely through headset-based anchoring (QR code anchoring and World Locking) — no external sensors, beacons, or custom hardware required.

Two rendering paths are available depending on model size and connectivity:

  • Standard version — models render on-device. Works fully offline after initial setup and sync — ideal for remote sites with no cellular or Wi-Fi coverage.
  • HoloLight XR Streaming version — for large, federated models, rendering is streamed via Hololight's cloud/edge XR streaming technology, avoiding the need for polygon reduction or model filtering. Requires a stable internet connection.

Broad CAD Support

Broad CAD support without native plugins for every format. Direct plugin support for Autodesk® Revit® and Autodesk® Navisworks®. Because Navisworks itself aggregates formats from SketchUp, MicroStation, SolidWorks, Tekla, Rhino, and more, BIM Holoview reaches far beyond a single design ecosystem without requiring a dedicated integration to be built for each one. Most competitors in this space are tightly coupled to a single CAD platform — BIM Holoview isn't.
